The president of Assopellettieri, Italy’s main leathergoods manufacturers’ association, Franco Gabbrielli, has added his voice to those suggesting it may be 2022 before his member companies recover fully from the effects of covid-19.

In recent comments, Mr Gabbrielli said he thought most of Italy’s leathergoods manufacturers would end 2020 with a fall in revenues of between 30% and 40%.
