President of the French Tanners’ Federation (FFTM), Jérôme Verdier, has written to supplier of plant-based tanning solutions Silvateam to thank the Italian company for sending 500 litres of hand-sanitiser in the course of the month of April to its member companies.

Silvateam and its local partner, Hiriar SAS de Graulhet, supplied the sanitiser free of charge to help tanners in France return to work following the lockdown imposed by covid-19.

“This gesture, offered at the start of the crisis, is greatly appreciated by the leather professionals in our organisation,” Mr Verdier said.
