Entrepreneur eases mask pain with leather strap

A New York entrepreneur has found a way to make mask-wearing more comfortable, with the help of a small strip of leather. Called the Mask Helper, the leather strap is worn on the back of the head, providing an alternative to the ears for keeping a face mask in place.

Dave Cisek of Long Island invented the mask attachments, which he sells from his website.

“While quarantined due to covid-19, I heard a ton of complaints about the irritation that face masks can cause behind your ears. So, I came up with a solution,” he said.

Each one is made by hand in his apartment, he said, entirely from US-sourced leather.
