Leather chemicals manufacturer Lanxess has added to its Tanigan product range. The latest addition is Tanigan PM, which the manufacturer has said will help tanners produce more uniform leathers.

It described Tanigan PM as a neutral, anionic, water-soluble synthetic product that can deliver a more uniform uptake and distribution and deeper penetration of vegetable tannin and other re- tanning agents. According to Lanxess, this will lead to improved filling, good tightness, no grain overload and “outstanding grain elasticity”.

In addition, its good dispersing properties of dyestuffs will lead to a more uniform uptake of dyes and more level dyeing, with light, clean colours.
