Luxury lambskin sneakers fit like a sock
One of the most attention-grabbing pieces from Balmain’s 2020 men’s collection was a pair of high-top sneakers making distinct use of lambskin leather: With a simple, fitted 100% lambskin upper and zip fastens in the back, the B-Glove slip-on high top (pictured) fits almost like a sock.
The French luxury house said this season’s sneaker collection mirrors designer Olivier Rousteing’s own personal style and that the B-Glove styles are his favourite.
“The rebellious designs that Olivier Rousteing relied on for his last men’s show made it clear to every attentive front-row fashion editor that the designer is pushing his sneaker designs in a new direction,” Balmain said, “clearly reflecting the self-assured styling of his generation’s urban nonconformists.”
