Second Sustainable Leather Forum to go ahead in Paris
A one-day conference on leather and sustainability will take place for the second time.
Buoyed by the success of the inaugural event in 2019, the organisers of the Sustainable Leather Forum have said they will hold the conference again this year. It will take place in Paris on September 14.
France’s main leather industry body, Le Conseil National du Cuir, said last year’s event had given luxury groups including Louis Vuitton, Kering and Hermès an “unprecedented opportunity” to present the progress they have made in recent years in corporate social responsibility. It said it was delighted to organise the forum for the second time.
New themes it will develop for the 2020 event will include consumer protection, animal welfare, the circular economy and the challenge of attracting new talent into the leather sector.
