Tanning industry first for Gruppo Dani
Arzignano-based leather manufacturer
Gruppo Dani has claimed an industry first by securing ISO 27001 certification.
This ISO standard covers organisations’ ability to handle data security, to
protect information within a company.
Gruppo Dani said it had secured the certification by proving it is able to
protect information from any threat, ensuring integrity and confidentiality. It
explained: “We can say that it is an absolute first: Dani is the first tannery
in the world to get this certification. Contact with customers and suppliers
happens daily, because we are part of an interconnected system. For this
reason, it is extremely important to have tools that can better manage data and
promote a shared culture regarding data protection.”
Chief executive, Giancarlo Dani, called the achievement an important milestone
and said he was “truly proud” to have achieved it. “It qualifies us in
the eyes of our customers, in particular those in the automotive sector and
brands, as a company capable of managing industrial information,” he said.
