New Renault CEO

Automotive group Renault has appointed the sales director of Audi, Luca de Meo, as its new chief executive. He will take up the role in July.

The company’s leadership situation had been somewhat chaotic since the resignation of Carlos Ghosn in January 2019, following his arrest in Japan. His former deputy, Thierry Bolloré, took up the role, but left the company in October.

At that time, Renault appointed chief finance officer, Clotilde Delbos, as acting chief executive. She will continue in this role until July and will then become Luca de Meo’s deputy chief executive.
