New Stella International factory in Indonesia

Full-year figures for 2019 show that footwear group Stella International earned revenues of just over $1.5 billion. The figures are unaudited. Over the 12-month period, Stella shipped 59.4 million pairs of shoes.

This means the company experienced a fall of 1.3% in value and in volume compared to 2018. Its average price per pair remained steady at $25.80.

Stella said it had made progress on “expansion initiatives” in the course of 2019, such as improving production efficiency, “adjusting” its production capacity to make fewer shoes in China and more in other parts of south-east Asia. As part of this, it added a new production facility in Indonesia.
