Growth for Cargill
Food company Cargill has reported revenues of $58.2 billion for the half of its current fiscal year, the six months to November 30. This represents growth of 3% compared to the same period a year earlier.

The company said its protein businesses around the world were “well prepared to meet opportunities from country-by-country changes in demand, shifts in global protein flows due to African swine fever and other market forces”.

In contrast, other product lines saw “softer results”, including starches and sweeteners in Europe and Brazil, and edible oils in South America.
