19/12/2019
Freiberg-based leather research body FILK has announced that Professor Michael Stoll has stepped down as director of the institute. Professor Stoll worked at FILK for more than 40 years and was its director for the last 26 years.

On making the announcement, FILK said Professor Stoll had led the institute in the period immediately following the “difficult years of [Germany’s] post-reunification period”, and had succeeded in transforming it into “a modern and reliable part of the research sector in Germany and beyond”.

Dr Haiko Schulz and Dr Michael Meyer will take over the lead of the institute by on January 1, 2020.
