Presenting the awards to leather and footwear companies from across India, the country’s minister for small and medium enterprises, Nitin Gadkari, said the leather industry should work to set up new production clusters in non-developed areas.
He said infrastructure was improving in many parts of India, even in places where land and labour are still cheap.
