Domestic growth for German car industry

11/11/2019
In October 284,600 passenger cars were registered in Germany, an increase of 13% compared to the same  month last year.

Industry association VDA said that this time last year there were bottlenecks in market because of new testing  procedures for measuring pollution from new vehicles. These bottlenecks have now eased and the market is benefiting from what VDA called “full availability of models”.

Year-to-date, new registrations in Germany have reached 3 million, up by 3% year on year and the highest level in the first ten months of any calendar year since 2009.
