October was a record export month for the Brazilian beef industry, in terms of volume and value.

Official figures show that packers across Brazil exported more than 185,000 tonnes of beef in the course of October, an increase of 15% compared to the same month last year.

This brought in $808.4 million, an increase of 30% compared to the corresponding figure for last October.

Both figures are all-time records for any single month in the history of the Brazilian beef industry.
