Both organisations said their intention was to develop the talents of students at the university through a programme of grants and prizes.
They said they would aim through the partnership to increase the technical knowledge of Jaume I students through seminars and conferences, to facilitate international internships at the company’s facilities throughout the world.
University rector, Eva Alcón, commented on the new partnership, saying: “It will help us meet two objectives. One is to continue to build alliances with industry and the other is to set up international placements for our students.”
For his part, Pedro Hernández, one of Zschimmer & Schwarz’s joint-managing directors in Spain, said he hoped the agreement would help the company attract talented new employees, something he said was essential for a company with “ambitious expansion plans”.
