22/10/2019
On taking up the position, Wolfram Scholz said he would work to review and update the current IUE protocols and work together with the members of the IUE commission to promote the achievements of the leather industry regarding effluent treatment, recycling, adding value to by-products and innovations in solid waste treatment such as waste-to-energy plants.
He added that the IUE commission will continue to support the leather industry in its efforts to solve new environmental challenges, such as the increased adoption of wet-white tannage, which changes the composition and concentration of waste streams.
