IULTCS announces December deadline for 2020 leather research grant

21/10/2019
The International Union of Leather Technologists’ and Chemists Societies (IULTCS) has released details of its 2020 grants programme.

As part of the programme, which will run for the sixth time next year, IULTCS will award grants to three leather scientists under the age of 35. There will be three awards this time, one each for projects on leather research, leather machinery or equipment, and sustainability.

IULTCS itself will provide sponsorship of €1,500 for the grant for basic research, while Italian leather technology manufacturer Erretre will once again sponsor the €1,000 grant for research into machinery and equipment. Campaign programme Leather Naturally will provide sponsorship of €1,000 to support a research project looking at sustainability or the environment.

Candidates have until December 16 to submit applications for the grants. More information is available from IULTCS.
