Amilcare Baccini’s tenure at Assomac comes to an end

After more than 40 years at Assomac, Italy’s association of tanning and footwear machinery manufacturers, managing director, Amilcare Baccini, has left the organisation.

From October 1, Roberto Vago will take up the role. 

An announcement about Mr Baccini’s departure came soon after the Assomac annual general meeting at the end of June, but on his last day in the job, the organisation issued a statement thanking him for the commitment and competence with which he ran the organisation.

Among his recent achievements, Amilcare Baccini successfully steered the Tanning Tech exhibition through the changes enforced by Lineapelle’s move from Bologna to Milan in 2014. 

For his part, Roberto Vago joined Assomac in 2008 and has served as a technology adviser and project manager there.
