Chinese importers of some US hides may secure tariff exception

China’s has said it allow tariff exclusions for certain imports from the US. Companies or industry associations that import or use the relevant products will be eligible to apply for exemption through a tariff exclusion process, which will run until October 18.

The US Hide, Skin and Leather Association has confirmed that a number of hides and skins have been included on the proposed exclusion list.
