Delight at Designer Brands over Canadian success

09/09/2019
Footwear group Designer Brands, parent group of DSW, has reported revenues of more than $1.7 billion in the first six months of its current business year, the period to August 3, 2019. This represents an increase of 15.3% compared to the same period a year ago.

Chief executive, Roger Rawlins, said he was particularly pleased by growth in Canada, driven by the successful integration into the group of the Camuto Group, which Designer Brands acquired at the end of 2018.

Over the six-month period, its retail operation in Canada generated revenues of $115 million, an increase of close to 60% compared to the same months in the previous business year before the Camuto Group acquisition.
