Bumper year for feeder cattle in Australia

New figures show that at the end of June there were more than 1.1 million head of cattle in feeder yards across Australia. MLA said the figure had stayed above 1.1 million head for the entire year.
The red meat promotions body said drought in some parts of Australia had led farmers to sell cattle to feeder buyers rather than try to keep grazing them.
