New York-based supplier of upholstery leather, Cortina Leathers, has worked with interior designer Virginia Langley to develop a new collection called Natural Worlds.

Ms Langley, who has worked in the past with Ralph Lauren, Hugo Boss and Laura Ashley, chose 16 articles from the Cortina Leathers range and added new textural finishes to them to enhance the natural grain.

“We are always looking for new ways to help designers create spectacular spaces with our leathers,” said Cortina’s vice-president for sales, Paul Clynch. “When Virginia is involved, we know the results are going to be very special.”

The Natural Worlds collection includes US- and Italian-produced leathers. Among the highlights is Amber, a high-gloss aniline leather that is made in Italy and finished with a scratch-resistant protective topcoat. In contrast, Argento is a pearlised leather, made in the US with a full finish.
