Freiberg delegates join IULTCS Congress
27/06/2019
Leather research body FILK has run the Leather Days event each year for the past nine years; as Freiberg is close to Dresden, the organisers agreed to incorporate the FILK event into the larger congress this year.
This meant that, with the IULTCS Congress already in full flow, it was able to welcome an additional 70 attendees.
Presentations in the morning session were divided into two categories, Scientific and Engineering, with delegates free to choose one or the other.
Topics discussed in the Engineering session included a new approach to the shaving process, automated colour control (which will be featured more fully in the next issue of World Leather) and the innovation of cold milling.
