Luxury leathergoods brand Delvaux has said it is “taking the surreal into the world of leather” with a new collection named after Belgium’s surrealist artist René Magritte.

Its Magritte collection consists of what it calls “elegantly playful bags and small leathergoods for him and for her” featuring typical Magritte effects such as clouds, doves and, of course, bowler hats.

According to Delvaux, the collection is “suffused with the spirit of Belgium’s great painter”.
