Marfrig says National Beef acquisition was a good move

Brazilian packer and leather group Marfrig has reported revenues of more than $2.5 billion for the first quarter of 2019. This represents growth of 7.6% compared to the same quarter in 2018.

The group said more than 60% of its revenues for the quarter had come from its business in the US and chief executive, Eduardo Miron, commented that Marfrig’s decision just over a year ago to acquire a controlling stake in the meat and leather business of National Beef had proved to be a good move.
