Inspectors’ visit builds hope in Brazil for end to beef ban

A report in the Financial Times has said that, while Europe, China and Russia have lifted suspensions that they placed on imports of Brazilian beef following the corruption and food health scandals of 2017, the US has not.
Commerce secretary at Brazil’s ministry of agriculture, Orlando Leite Ribeiro, told the FT: “What it comes down to is a question of justice. The problems that led to the rejection of Brazil’s products don’t exist any more.”
