Meat and leather producer Tyson achieved total revenues of just over $20.6 billion for the first six months of its current business year, the half-year to March 30, 2019. This figure represents an increase of 3.2% compared to the first six months of the previous business year.

Tyson’s beef business brought in $7.8 billion over the six-month period, an increase of 1.1% year on year.

Sales volumes increased for beef, Tyson said on announcing the results, thanks to “improved availability of cattle supply and stronger demand for our beef products”.
