Tricker’s picks Tokyo for first non-UK store

Footwear manufacturer Tricker’s Shoes opened its first own-brand shop outside the UK on April 25 when it launched a new store in Tokyo.

It explained that it had chosen Tokyo has the location for its first non-UK store because Japan has been the brand’s biggest export market for more than 30 years. “This is a bold development for a small business such as ours,” it added.

In terms of the layout of the store, which is in the Minato district of the Japanese capital, Tricker’s said it had sought to recreate the set-up it has in its Jermyn Street store in London.
