Jobs down in Spain’s leather and footwear sector

Observers of the leather and footwear industry in Spain have become concerned about a decline in employment. Shoe and leather manufacturers in all parts of Spain employed a combined total of 45,772 people in July 2018.

According to official government figures, the figure at the end of March 2019 was 44,660, a fall of 2.4%.
