Marfrig opens new plant in Mato Grosso

The new factory has the capacity to process two thousand head of cattle per day.
Marfrig has set up a production line to make hamburgers and other meat products at the site and has said it intends to make almost 70,000 tonnes of hamburgers per year there. Chief executive, Miguel Gularte, said on making the announcement that it makes sense for the company to make the meat products onsite at the slaughterhouse. “It means a better use of our resources,” he said, “and will give us better operational efficiency.”
Two thousand people will work at the site.
