Cargill celebrates continued strong demand for beef

28/03/2019
Beef producer Cargill has reported revenues of $26.9 billion for the third quarter of its business year, the three-month period ending February 28.

This figure represents a decline of 4% compared to the same quarter last year, but operating profit rose by 8% to reach $604 million.

It said its animal nutrition and protein segment was the biggest contributor to this increase in profits and added that “continued strong domestic and export demand for beef” had been a specific area of strength.
