Plant-food product from lime split residue

A concentrated solution combining residue from lime splitting and water will go on sale in gardening equipment outlets later this year, probably in a proportion of 1:200, lime-split reside to water.
IHL general manager, Chris Thumrongsakunvong, has told World Leather that tests have proved encouraging. The tannery has used the product in different concentrations on potted kumquat trees at the entrance to one of its buildings, with the 1:200 version demonstrating a clear advantage over all the others.
Mr Thumrongsakunvong has also used the product on basil plants at his home and found clear evidence of a boost in growth while the texture and the test of the herbs remained unaltered. “There is no toxicity; the product simply enables plants to absorb nutrition better,” he said. “We will look for distributors and we hope to see it on store shelves before the end of this year.”
