A tough year for China’s leather garments manufacturers

Manufacturers produced a combined total of just over 7.1 million pieces, which represented a decline of 9.1% compared to the figure for 2017.
Of these, almost 5.6 million pieces went for export, bringing in export revenues of $205 million. These figures mean exports declined year on year by 7.1% in volume and by 18.2% in value.
