BFA names new chairman

The British Footwear Association has named Robert Perkins, chief operating officer of Hotter, as its new chairman.

Mr Perkins has worked in the footwear industry for 37 years at companies including Clarks, Pittards and Pentland, as well as Hotter.

He is a former director of research body SATRA and played a part in developing the UK’s new footwear manufacturing apprenticeship.
