More exhibitors at Tanning Tech

In all, 322 companies from 24 different countries travelled to Milan to exhibit at Tanning Tech and partner event Simac, which focuses on innovations in footwear machinery. Total exhibition space this year was close to 19,000 square-metres. These figures all represent increases compared to 2018.
This year’s exhibition comes “at a very delicate time globally”, Assomac said, and five years of double-digit growth for Italy’s manufacturers of tanning and footwear machinery ended in 2018, which closed with revenue levels that were in line with those of 2017.
The association’s president, Gabriella Marchioni Bocca, said: “In response to the unusual situations we are experiencing worldwide, the event will focus on presenting systems and technology that can respond to any production need while also meeting eco-sustainability and energy-saving criteria.”
