Italian tax authorities demand €1.4 billion from Kering

28/01/2019
Tax authorities in Italy have said Kering’s Swiss-based subsidiary, Luxury Goods International, owes unpaid Italian taxes of €1.4 billion.

In a statement, Kering said it challenges the grounds and the amount of this claim, which is the result of an audit investigation into Luxury Goods International’s activity in Italy between 2011 and 2017.

A review is now under way and Kering has said it is confident the review will vindicate its challenge to the Italian tax authorities’ conclusion.
