Bank to buy stake in Tod’s

Tod’s has published full-year sales figures for 2018 of €958.2 million, using constant exchange rates and preliminary figures. This represents a slight decline (0.5%) compared to 2017’s figures.
Main brand, Tod’s, brought in almost €510 million, down by 1.2% year on year, while Hogan increased its sales by 1.8% to reach €207.5 million. Other brands, Roger Vivier and Fay, brought in €179 million and €61.3 million, falls of 0.2% and 3.4% respectively.
On announcing the results, chief executive, Diego Della Valle commented: “This is a time of innovation in our very competitive sector, with new formulas and new business models. But at the same time, it’s full of brand new opportunities that we want to be ready to seize.”
