French luxury brand Lanvin has appointed Bruno Sialelli as its new creative director. He will be the fourth person to take on this role in the past four years.

Mr Sialelli arrives at Lanvin from Spanish luxury leathergoods brand Loewe, where he was most recently head of its menswear division. He also has experience in womenswear, having spent time at brands like Balenciaga and Paco Rabane.

Lanvin’s chief executive Jean-Philippe Hecquet said in a statement: "We’re thrilled to welcome Bruno as the new Creative Director of Lanvin. His singular and very personal vision, his audacity, his culture, his energy and ability to build a strong creative team definitely convinced us. I can’t wait to discover Bruno’s first collections which will fully bring back to life this beautiful and unique fashion house, and once again inspire a passion among our customers."

Chinese conglomerate Fosun International became the majority shareholder in Lanvin in February 2018. Since then, it has named a new president, Joann Cheng, and a new CEO, Mr Hecquet.
