Zschimmer & Schwarz to mark 125th anniversary at APLF 2019

Leather chemicals manufacturer Zschimmer & Schwarz is marking 125 years in business in 2019 and has said it intends to make a feature of the anniversary at this year’s APLF exhibition in Hong Kong (March 13-15), inviting visitors to help it celebrate the event.

Highlights of the products it will have on display will include Provol LX, a fatliquor that the company believes is suitable for all automotive upholstery leather with its “outstanding fogging behaviour, good heat- and light-fastness”. The product also provides “an extremely high level of softness” in automotive leather, the company has said, and thanks to a highly concentrated composition, it also claims that Provol LX is economic to use and guarantees good penetration, distribution and fixation into the leather.

Also on show in Hong Kong will be Prinol Z8, a polymer-based fatliquoring agent with good electrolyte stability and softness. It has been specifically developed as an alternative to sulfited fish oil, Zschimmer & Schwarz has said, calling it “outstandingly suited for the fatliquoring of automotive leather in the pickle, chrome tanning and retanning process”.
