Full-year figures show strong growth for Brazilian beef exports

Full-year figures show that Brazil’s beef exports increased by 12% in volume in 2018 compared to the previous year and by almost 11% in value.

Over the 12 months of 2018, Brazilian packers exported 1.35 million tonnes of beef, bringing in revenues of $5.6 billion.

This contrasts with figures for chicken and pork exports, which fell, respectively, by 8% and 7.3% in volume and by 10.1% and 24% in value.
