SATRA chief executive to retire

Current deputy chief executive, John Hooker, will become the new chief executive in the summer.
Austin Simmons has spent 23 years at SATRA, working first on testing and certification for protective equipment and later becoming business area manager, and assistant director with responsibility for a number of footwear-related businesses. In 2004, he became an executive director, was promoted to deputy chief executive in 2007 and then chief executive in 2009.
