ALCA issues call for papers

The American Leather Chemists Association (ALCA) has issued a call for its 2019 convention. It has asked researchers who have recently completed or soon will complete studies relevant to hide preservation, hide and leather defects, leather manufacturing technology, new product development, tannery equipment development, leather properties and specifications, tannery environmental management, or other related subjects to present their results at the event.

Next year’s will be the 115th ALCA convention; it will take place from May 14-17 at the Mission Inn Resort & Club, Howey-in-the-Hills, Florida.

Interested parties must send an abstract by email before January 31 to the chair of the technical programme, ALCA vice-chairman, Eric Dick (eric.dick@elementis.com).
