Pittards moves to “show off” the leather industry

Leather manufacturing  group Pittards has launched a new blog under the heading Tannery Insights.

Pittards said its aim in launching the blog is to “show off this incredible industry with its traditional skills and modern manufacturing”.

The first entry, posted by marketing executive James Milford, covers the benefits of vacuum drying, including the fact that working at an air pressure that is lower than atmospheric pressure helps remove excess moisture from hides faster.
