The United Nations Industrial Development Organisation (UNIDO) and the Vietnam Industrial Agency of the Vietnamese ministry of industry and trade jointly ran a training workshop on enhancing the quality of industrial policy in Vietnam in Hanoi from November 12-17.

Textile and apparel, automotive, electronics and food processing are other sectors that featured.

Input from the workshop will inform a white paper on a new industrial strategy for Vietnam; the aim is to publish the white paper in June 2019.

Participants included UNIDO experts and staff from the Korea Institute for Industrial Economics and Trade (KIET), as well as representatives from various Vietnamese business associations.
