New Lexus seats are the fruit of three years’ work

High-quality leather upholstery is, perhaps, the most obvious part of the finished seat, but a high level of detail has gone into the whole structure, the company said.
The seats’ construction means the car’s occupants will their posture is “just right” the moment they sit down, Lexus has said, and with special support for the lower back built in, it said people will be able to maintain a good posture “no matter the G-forces acting on the car from any direction”.
The sides of the seat are elevated to provide hip support and help keep the body stable but the finished product can also cancel out physical differences between people thanks to “very subtle depressions in the surface” to allow people of all sizes to “sink firmly into the seat”.
