Leather art project makes its way to Manila

A component of the 2018 All China Leather Exibition in Shanghai is on tour and will next feature at the FAME event in Manila. Leather Reborn is a project devised by exhibition organiser APLF and sponsored by advocacy body Leather Naturally to promote the beauty and versatility of leather.

For the project, artists paint onto large pieces of leather, working as the exhibition goes on around them. At the project’s debut in Shanghai, Brazilian tanning group JBS supplied the hides and the painters were three artists from Malaysia.

At FAME, ten artists, all from the Philippines, will take part. FAME runs from October 19-21.
