Russia remains the main target export market for the Turkish leather industry, but its efforts to open up new avenues, it has decided to try to attract more customers from the United Kingdom.

Reports from Turkey say a higher number of local companies than usual will travel to the UK to attend the first 2019 edition of the Moda exhibition in Birmingham (February 17-19).

Before that, the Aegean Leather Products Exporters Union is organising a UK buyers’ visit to the region in October, with seminars and factory visits on the programme.
