Smit & zoon celebrates ten years of production in China

Leather chemicals manufacturer Smit & zoon held a celebration in Shanghai on August 30 to market ten years of celebrated ten years of making product in China. Key Chinese customers attended the event with the company’s local agents, distributors, and staff.
 
Smit & zoon opened a plant in Nanjing in 2008. Since then, it has strengthened its commitment to the Chinese market and has continuously increased its production of leather processing chemicals in China. The plant adheres to ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and OSHAS 18001 standards.

Chief executive, Hans van Haarst, said at the event: “I am very honoured and excited to be here and celebrate this milestone. With our excellent team, our strong network, and the desire to offer Chinese tanneries high-quality wet-end and finishing products and excellent technical support, the past ten years have been successful for us. China is one of our most important markets and we are confident that in the years to come we can continue to support our Chinese customers in their aim to produce high-quality, sustainable leather.”
