The new issue of World Leather is now available

This issue features our second special supplement section of the year. It focuses on the automotive industry and includes comment from tannery machinery specialists Cartigliano and Bergi, chemicals group GSC and automotive leather manufacturer Seton AutoLeather. There is in-depth analysis of the current situation in the automotive leather market as well as insight into its prospects for the future.
In the magazine’s technical section, we hear from Lanxess about the potential consequences of the European Chemical Agency’s REACH project, the registration phase of which recently concluded. There is also information about a new innovation incubator which will be organised for the first time at the Lineapelle exhibition in September.
Our special technical theme for this issue is wastewater treatment. It includes input from chemical manufacturers TFL and Smit & zoon, as well as news of proposed tannery closures in Uttar Pradesh, India as a result of ongoing concern about the contribution of tannery effluent to pollution in the River Ganges.
The Beast to Beauty feature continues the focus on the automotive industry. It is dedicated to a new luxury concept car developed by Mercedes-Maybach, part of Daimler group. Leather of plays its part, of course.
