Sales decline for Geox

Italian footwear brand Geox achieved sales revenues of €414 million in the first half of 2018, a decrease of 8.2% compared to the same period last year. Sales in Europe accounted for almost 75% of the total with €304. 2 million. However, this represents a fall of 9.5% year on year.

Chief executive, Matteo Mascazzini, who joined Geox in February, said the figures have been improving since mid-April and insisted the group would continue with initiatives to improve its margins and to put in place structures and processes that are “lean and more efficient”.
